Annual Membership Meeting Pursuant to Article 4 of the Bylaws of the International Erosion Control Association, Inc., a Washington Corporation, the Annual Meeting of the Members for the transaction of business as may properly come before the meeting, shall be held in Dallas, Texas on Feb. 17, 2010 at 12:00 Noon at the Hilton Anatole Hotel. Any member who has business to be presented at this meeting is required to submit a request to present at this meeting stating the subject and business purpose of such a presentation. The Board of Directors will then consider this request for appropriate action. Such a request must be filed in the offices of the corporation before Jan. 15, 2010 for inclusion in this meeting. This request may be in writing, email or other transmittal appropriate to convey the business purpose. Northern Plains Chapter Hosts Workshop Jan. 27th in Red Deer, AB and 28th in Winnipeg, MB, Canada Entitled Winter Erosion Control Practices: An Alaskan Experience with keynote speaker
Alex Zimmerman, these
one-day workshops will cover design and inspection issues in very cold climates
as well as innovative erosion control designs when dealing with arctic

Congratulations to Southeast Chapter's EC10 Scholarship Winners Congratulations to Gregory Ewanitz, FL; Kara Van Blarcum, NC; and Doug Patten, GA, all winners of Chapter-sponsored scholarships to attend the IECA annual conference in Dallas, Texas this February. Southeast Chapter members and attendees are encouraged to attend the Chapter meeting/social on Thursday, February 18th from 5:00pm - 6:30pm at EC10 to help congratulate these winners.
 SCIECA Muddy Water Blues Comes to Arkansas Northwest Arkansas MS4s are hosting the South Central Chapter's (SCIECA) Muddy Water Blues Conference at the Clarion Hotel & Convention Center in Bentonville, AR on March 28-31, 2010. Registration is open to anyone with an interest in stormwater. The conference will feature discussions and training to prepare officials,
municipal and contractor employees with the skills to meet the
challenges encountered with creating, operating, managing and enforcing
