This newsletter and website were born from a gentle inner nudge (or obsession, depending on how you look at it) for several years. It is a gift that it is available to help others, to begin to build a recovery meditation community and impact the world in a small way, just by sharing about sitting still for a few minutes every day. I look forward to working with you to continue this mission. What a miracle!!
Learn to meditate, Meditate every day, Meditate with groups, Encourage others to meditate!

| Tools to Grow your Meditation Experience. |
ImproveOurConsciousContact.blogspot (IOCC). This Twelve Step recovery based blog focuses on Step Eleven, "Sought through prayer and meditation to improve our conscious contact". IOCC features several contributors from various religious backgrounds.
Once a month John R. posts a question about Step Eleven and through out the month the writers post their responses. Contributors to this blog join together to help those who are just starting this journey as well as giving new perspectives to those who are well on their way.
The readers can participate by leaving comments for the writers as well taking a stab at the monthly question themselves. Bloggers can copy and paste the monthly question to their own blogs and answer the question or people can start an IOCC journal to write on a private level.
The number one goal of IOCC is to get people actively thinking, learning and growing closer to the God of their own understanding.

Mind-body medicine focuses on the interactions among the brain, mind, body, and behavior, and the powerful ways in which emotional, mental, social, spiritual, and behavioral factors can directly affect health. It regards as fundamental an approach that respects and enhances each person's capacity for self-knowledge and self-care, and it emphasizes techniques that are grounded in this approach.
