Greetings!
| September means back to school, back to work, and United Way's official campaign kick-off on the 21st Annual Day of Caring. Although Day of Caring volunteer assignments are filled, there are other ways you can help our community next Tuesday, September 11, and beyond. Thanks for helping bring unity to our community.
|
 | Day of Caring volunteers take on a variety of tasks to help local non-profit organizations, including minor construction projects.

United Way Campaign Kicks Off Tuesday with Day of Caring More than 300 people in Greater Nashua will volunteer at non-profit organizations in the region during United Way's 21st Annual Day of Caring on Tuesday, September 11. Projects include carpentry, painting, cleaning, delivering meals to home-bound seniors, assisting in childcare centers, and other tasks. United Ways in Manchester, Concord, and Portsmouth also will be mobilizing volunteers on Tuesday, thereby yielding a one-day volunteer force of about 2,000 people.
Volunteers in the Nashua region are invited to an appreciation/campaign kick-off barbecue at St. Philip Greek Orthodox Church following completion of their projects. The event will feature food, music, raffle prizes, corporate challenge results, and more. Volunteers who have been assigned projects should contact their company coordinator for details.

Help United Way, UPS "Stuff the Truck" for Local Families on September 11th
|
Everyone is invited to help United Way with a community collection drive held in conjunction with Day of Caring on Tuesday, 9/11. UPS, the lead event sponsor, will park its "Flame Truck" at the St. Philip Greek Orthodox Church lot from 7 AM to 5:30 PM for collection of non-perishable food, diapers, and other new, personal care items, which will be distributed to local shelters, food pantries, and transitional housing programs. Donating even just a few food or other items can make a big difference for a family in need. Thanks for helping!
