Help "Stamp Out Hunger" Sat., 5/12
On Saturday, May 12, letter carriers in Nashua, Hudson, and 10,000+ communities will participate in the nation's largest one-day food drive.

Letter carriers will collect non-perishable food left by mailboxes and in post offices on Saturday and distribute the donations to area food pantries on Sunday. The need is great, as many individuals and families still struggle with the harsh effects of a weak economy.

The annual food drive is held in the spring as food pantries run out of donations made during the holiday season. Nashua and Hudson residents may participate by simply leaving one or more cans or boxes of non-perishable food by their mailbox Saturday morning. Residents of other communities should check with their local post office to determine if a food collection will be performed. Volunteers who want to help sort the collection should come to the Nashua Post Office between 11 AM and noon on Saturday. For more details, see our blog post.
