United Way of Greater Nashua is pleased to provide you with this capsule of how we're working to improve lives in our communities. Please direct all feedback to lisa@unitedwaynashua.org.
The Greater Nashua Asset Building Coalition - which includes UWGN and 10 partners - is offering free income tax preparation at three area locations beginning Saturday, January 26th. Trained volunteers will help filers determine whether they qualify for the Earned Income Tax Credit. The service is part of United Way's effort to help working individuals and families attain financial stability.
United Way has numerous sponsorship opportunities throughout the year. Sponsoring United Way events or communications demonstrates that your business goes the extra mile for our community and helps UWGN direct more dollars to program services that improve people's lives. To learn more, visit the sponsorship page or contact Lisa Conti.
The Greater Nashua Community Prevention Coalition seeks to create a coordinated community response to alcohol use and abuse by young people in our area. The coalition now is assessing the degree of the problem and wants to hear from stakeholders throughout the 11-community region. Think you may want to be part of the solution? Read the Coalition's call for membership.
Between now and the Super Bowl you can help generate $100,000 to support United Way of America's young adult and campus-based programs, including Alternative Spring Break. Go to http://drinkg2.com/ to participate in "Performance with a Purpose". After a 15-20 second intro, click the "X" in the upper right corner of the G2 Life graphic and you'll be returned to the original screen. Select "Performance with a Purpose" and "Help Give Back". For each click- through, Gatorade will donate $1 to support United Way.
Thank you for helping United Way improve lives and strengthen communities throughout Greater Nashua.
Sincerely,
United Way of Greater Nashua
