Chicago resident Elizabeth Parenteau is one of the most
enthusiastic, talented and dedicated hoopers we've seen
in a looong time. We see her shining smile often lately,
and we are grateful for the light she brings with her every
time!
Q&A for Elizabeth:
HP: What does hoopdance mean to you?
EP: Hoopdance is a peaceful, uplifting & meditative
outlet. It's an incredibile "good vibe" workout that's great
fun, relieves stress, produces tons of endorphins &
induces smiles from the inside out!
HP: What's the most significant change in yourself since
you started hoopdancing?
EP: It's been both empowering and a huge stress buster
for me as it quiets the mind & fine tunes the body!
HP: What music are you listening to these days while
hoopdancing?
EP: Heather's mixed CD, Balkan Beat Box, Daft Punk,
Corinne Bailey Rae.
HP: Where is your favorite place to hoopdance?
EP: The Galaxie & Joel Hall are my favorite places to
hoop, especially these cold, snowy Chicago days. After
the thaw I'll look forward to hooping in my backyard &
Wicker Park.
HP: What does "HooperPower" mean to you?
EP: To me it references the many ways that hooping can
enhance mind, body & spirit as well as be a positive,
empowering force in life.
