LP Reaching Record Numbers
Since the application process opened for Deferred Action, LP has seen its client intake more than double--giving more than 250 individual consultations in just the first six days after August 15th. LP's BIA-accredited caseworkers have been working overtime to make sure that anyone who comes to our office gets individualized screening and counseling.
If you or someone you know is considering applying for deferred action, stop by LP's office during walk-in hours.

Special Volunteer Opportunity
Latinos Progresando is looking for 6-8 volunteers to join our legal services team in screening and preparing potential deferred action applicants. If you're available on Saturdays, over 18 years old, bilingual in Spanish and English, and interested in helping, please email your resume to Marcy Gonzalez at marcy@latinospro.org.
LP is also looking for folding tables and chairs to transform our conference room during walk-in hours-if you or anyone you know have either available, please call us at 773-542-7077.

2012 Statewide CYBC Amateur Boxing Tournament
The Chicago Youth Boxing Club will be hosting its 2012 Power Gloves Amateur Boxing Tournament on Friday, November 9th and Saturday, November 10th. The tournament will take place at 2300 S. Millard Ave, with the doors opening at 6:00pm on both nights and rounds beginning at 7:00pm.
