NOTE FROM OUR RE
Another awards banquet come and gone.  Congratulations to all winners!!

Do you have a memorable banquet memory?

1994 is the year for me.  Me and Mine (Dave-husband, Bryon-son, Melissa and Danielle-daughters) won the Ed Walsh award.  Dave and I were in Flagging & Communications.  Bryon was Timing & Scoring.  Melissa was Sound Control.  Danielle was staying weekends with Grandma, but decided that next year to start having fun with us and joined Hospitality.  I think it had something to do with the trophy.  It was at least two feet tall and nice.  We took that trophy with us to every family and friend function for the next few months.

My girls have moved out of the club, but Bryon is still active.  Dave is driving at Gateway now that the not-so-little ones are out of the house.  An important thing for me raising them in the SCCA was and still is the family-like setting we have.  I always trusted that my kiddos would be looked after (not babysat).  They had some good chiefs/teachers guiding them and learned much from these mentors.

So before I go on and on and on, I will sign off for now.  I am going to the National Convention next month.  I will write again and let you know how things went in Las Vegas (well-maybe not all-after all-what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas).
