Grandma Zhang

 The TJX Outstanding Volunteer Award recognizes volunteers who make significant contributions to BCNC.

 

Grandma Zhang has been a full-time volunteer for 8 years. The BCNC staff and children call her Grandma, an endearing term that tells us she's a caring, devoted and loving individual to everyone around her. Grandma Zhang was an experienced elementary school teacher in China and now continues to live out her heart for children and education. Thank you Grandma Zhang for the invaluable work you give to our children!

BCNC youth win scholarships Youth awarded UMass Boston Scholarship     

Congratulations to BCNC youth, Kellyann Leong and Manyu Ma for winning the Boston City Scholarship! This scholarship program recognizes Boston Public School graduates who demonstrate academic achievement and are admitted to UMass Boston. Click here to read more. 

 

  

Parents learn about nutrition

Parents learn about healthy eating

Family Services invited Tracy Pui, dietitian from Tufts Medical Center to provide a healthy nutrition workshop for 30 parents. Tracy adapted the scientific nutrition knowledge into Chinese dining culture, demonstrated it in a vivid way and encouraged parents to apply what they learned.

Young professionals enjoyed bowling and raised $650 for the Youth Center! The Bamboo Circle cultivates BCNC's next generation of leaders, volunteers and donors through volunteering, social events and charitable giving.  Click here for photos.
