Thank You
As winter draws to a close - at least there are rumors to that effect - it seems a good time to look back at the close of 2009 and once again acknowledge the wonderfully generous individuals and businesses who step up selflessly for many of the children at Pathways.  Space precludes listing the more than 80 special individuals to whom we owe a debt of gratitude for the outpouring of support that resulted in our ability to provide some level of holiday joy to hundreds of children and their families.  We were able to distribute:

·  Toys, art supplies, clothing, etc.,to 407 children of all ages,
·  135 gift cards,
·
100 Payless Shoe vouchers,
·  6 Christmas trees,
·
68 winter coats and/or snow pants,
·
and 30 families were "sponsored" by our very popular "Surprise a Family" program that focuses on families most in need.

I know each of you is aware that the support we receive from our government sources will never be adequate to meet the needs of all the children we serve each day, nor will it be adequate to fund the high quality we continually strive to improve upon.  Our private supporters are the ones who are responsible for our ability to achieve the high bar we set as we work each day to  fulfill our mission by "Teaching for today, caring for tomorrow".  Thank you one and all!

PS.  As we begin to hear and see the promise of spring, please watch for information about our June 19th special yard sale, "Treasures from the Attic".   In the meantime, if you catch spring fever and have some gently used or new items that could become someone else's treasures we would welcome them when the time comes.   Special thanks to Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage and Gorton's of Gloucester for the support they are lending to make this event a huge success.
