Ana Egge was born in Saskatchewan, raised in North Dakota and New Mexico, cut her musical teeth in Austin and is now based in Brooklyn. The itinerant songwriter has made a name for herself as a Gillian Welch figure with a rocker attitude. Her new record Bad Blood will be released on August 23 on Ammal records. The 12-song set was produced by Steve Earle and recorded at Levon Helm Studios in Woodstock, NY.
Ana perfoms with a full band or solo. She is touring everywhere in North America in support of her new album. She will also tour in the Netherlands and the UK in the fall.
