Summer 2010 has been one of the best to
date for Baylor University’s Mayborn Museum. The season of family friendly education kicked off with the opening of LEGOŽ Castle
Adventure. Supported by ten Medieval Merriment Wednesdays, our visitors engaged and explored the summer castle theme through
activities, games and crafts created by our amazing education facilitators. Thanks to our wonderful volunteers of all ages
the museum bristled with exciting learning opportunities for our visitors throughout the entire summer.
Mid-Summer featured the Mayborn Museum’s
Block Party to celebrate LEGOŽ Castle Adventure. Guests were treated with fun, themed appetizers, entertainment by Joe McDermott,
caricature artists and exclusive hands-on time with LEGO® bricks.
To wrap up the season and the exhibit, our enormously popular Free Sunday Series will give visitors one last opportunity to see the
spectacular castles and life size LEGO® sculptures for free on September 5th. We would like to thank all of our Museletter
subscribers, visitors, members, volunteers, students, sponsors and donors for making Summer 2010 such a
success.
