Spring Break Schedule

Monday March 9 – Friday, March 13, 2008
10:00 – 11:40 Hands-on science demonstrations in the Fun House
11:40 – 12:00 Laser Light Show

Thursday, March 12, 2009
2:00 – 3:30 Theatrical Performance, Fun House, Laser Light Show, and Game Show

Cost:
Admission to the Physics Circus is FREE with paid admission to the museum
Museum Members may attend free-of-charge

ACTIVITIES:
Physics Fun House:
Along with the theatrical performance, participants engage in hands-on exploration of the demonstrations from the performance in the Fun House. Physicists monitor each exhibit in the Fun House and provide students with opportunities to experiment with the science demonstrations and provide scientific explanations of the activities.

THURSDAY ONLY:
Theatrical Presentation:"How Big is the Universe?"

This year the theme for the Physics Circus is scale – human scale, nano-scale, and astronomical scale. Aligned with the National Science Education Standards as well as the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills, this year's Physics Circus promises to educate and entertain students and adults. Professional actors present scientific information in a light-hearted, entertaining fashion that makes learning science fun.

Game Show:
The conclusion of this live performance is a simulation of Who Wants to be a Scientist? Learning is solidified through this game show spoof which allows students to answer questions and win prizes.
