              |  | Mayborn christmas Get  in the holiday spirit by celebrating A Very Merry Mayborn Christmas on Saturday,  December 1 from 10 am - 4 pm, featuring a day of fun activities with Santa and  friends! Enjoy punch and cookies while creating special ornaments to take home.  There will be several age-appropriate craft stations so children of all ages  can join in the fun. Also, be sure to catch one of the special Christmas story  presentations at 11 am and 2 pm in the SBC Theater.

              | Santa will be flying in for a special appearance from 12 – 4 pm. Don't miss  this chance to tell him exactly what you want for Christmas! A photographer  from Pics and Gifts will offer professional photos of your child or family with  Santa. (4x6 $3; 5x7 $5)

                | snow in the Mayborn Texas weather is always  changing, but you can count on lots of snow on Saturday, December 29. From 10  am to 4 pm, come join our celebration of all things snowy at the Mayborn! 
 If you like penguins that can sing and dance, take in a showing of the Academy  Award-winning animated feature Happy Feet. There will be a screening at 11 am  and at 2 pm in the SBC Theater. Remember to bundle up, the forecast calls for  snow!

                |  | NEW!  Annual Study Abroad Photography Exhibit
                 features captivating photos from  Baylor's International Student and Scholar Services Study Abroad Program. On display in the 2nd floor cafe until January 3, this fascinating  exhibit is comprised of photos taken by Baylor students to capture their study  abroad experiences. The contest categories include Art & Architecture,  People, and Landscape/Cityscape. They capture the beauty of a wide array of interesting  locations.                      |  
                |  | Bones: An Exhibit  Inside You creates an awareness  of our  bones  through a variety of engaging hands-on  activities.  The exhibit is intended to  help both children and adults understand the need for healthy bones and teaches  ways to accomplish that goal.  Created by the legendary Children's Museum   of Indianapolis, Bones will be on display through February 17, 2008  in the Anding Traveling Exhibit Gallery.

                |  | NEW!  Skeletons in the Closet:  Selections from the Strecker Collection                 We’ve dusted off some of our favorite skeletons from the  Strecker Collection to complement our traveling exhibit Bones: An Exhibit Inside You.   Survey unusual skeletons from the collection, including a juvenile  elephant skeleton and walrus skull, while learning about animal bones and teeth  in this fascinating new exhibition.  Skeletons in the Closet will be on  display in the exhibit area next to the SBC Theater through March 3. |

 Fly Girls of WWII  honors a brave group of young women who flew  military aircraft during World War II.  They were known as the WASP (Women  Air Force Service Pilots) and they played an essential, but largely forgotten, role  in American history.  See some of their priceless uniforms, pictures,  awards, a stirring video, and learn about their invaluable contributions.                       | “SANTA’S  MAGICAL CHRISTMAS” PUPPET SHOWs Join  Rick Strot, Allen Reeves Ware and the Mayborn Puppeteers as they present "Santa’s  Magical Christmas” in the SBC Theater.  Santa and his elf encounter some magic spells  that could spell trouble for the delivery of gifts.  But, with the assistance of friends and  children, Santa receives the help he needs to do his job!  Catch performances at the following dates and  times: December  2 at 2:30 pmDecember  6 at 6:30 pm

                      | CHRISTMAS TREE FOREST  The  Mayborn Museum Complex is all dressed up for the holidays!  A 20-foot tall Christmas tree with all the  trimmings graces the Sue Mayborn Grand Rotunda, and Christmas trees complete with bears and  birds decorate the Texas Lifeways area.  Join us at  the Mayborn for a festive atmosphere and terrific holiday events,  and remember to bring your camera to catch that perfect Christmas card  moment!  |
