April SENSATIONAL SATURDAY:
Threads That Bind Through Time
April 14 · 10am - 5pm
Come experience the timeless craft of
needlework in all its various forms. Nine skilled regional
groups and artists will be on hand to demonstrate their talents,
and visitors can make crafts of their very own to take home.
Handiwork such as quilting, knitting, looming, and weaving
will be showcased throughout the museum.
This event compliments the
exhibit, A Stitch in Time that runs from April 14 –
July 17, 2007. By learning about the art of textiles, you
will be able to see the similarities in the quilt exhibit
and the American Indian trade blankets that will be the focus
of our traveling exhibit which opens in May.
