Joel J. Horowitz has over 35 years of experience in the apparel industry. He began his career with Polo/Ralph Lauren, serving in many capacities during his tenure. Later he joined Murjani International, Ltd., and was appointed President of the designer division in 1984, which included the initial development of the Tommy Hilfiger business. From 1986 to 1989, he served as President of Murjani International, Ltd.
In 1989, he joined forces with Mr. Hilfiger and their respective partners, to form Tommy Hilfiger, Inc.
From 1989 to 1994, Joel Horowitz served as President and Chief Operating Officer of the Company and as Chief Executive Officer from 1994 to 2003. In 2003, he became Executive Chairman of the Board and in 2005 became Non-Executive Chairman of the Board. He retired on October 31, 2005.
In 2006, Mr. Horowitz, along with a management group and Apax Partners, Inc., took Tommy Hilfiger Corporation private.
Joel J. Horowitz is a member of the Executive Leadership Cabinet of the Washington D.C. Martin Luther King, Jr. National Memorial Project Foundation, Inc. In 1997, he founded the Friends of CEDU Foundation, which today operates under the name of Friends of Families with Children in Crisis where he remains as Trustee. Additionally, Joel Horowitz is a former member of the JP Morgan Chase Regional Advisory Board serving from 1994 to 2004.

"Family Solutions Today" was a vision I have always perused in regards to a desire to assist families.
Being a parent who faced a critical moment with her daughter in 2001, no one is ever just a client.
This show addresses issues such as: questions to ask when exploring services from the teen help industry, emotional eating, family health, how to survive when your child is in treatment, Internet behaviors, parent coaching, residential treatment centers, special education, special needs schools, step-family relationships, strained family relationships, wilderness programs and many of the "ongoing" concerns of parents. I will also introduce you to authors who have written about subjects that can really be of help.
