Jessi has worked in the wilderness therapy industry for nearly five years and was previously employed at Three Rivers Montana, which has since closed its doors. Prior to entering this industry, she maintained a private practice where she loved working with adolescent clients. In addition, Jessi worked in various traditional clinical settings, including a community counseling center and a university clinic.
She believes strongly in the wilderness as a healing place and has seen significant change emerge when families and students slow down their communication and increase objectivity and accountability in their lives. Jessi was fortunate enough to be raised in the beautiful, fresh mountain air of southwestern Montana and then maintained her good fortune by moving to the Cayman Islands with her family in 1990.
This is where she finished high school and worked for two years before attending college at Florida State University. Jessi majored in Psychology at FSU and subsequently returned to Montana where she worked as a Montessori educator for three years. Jessi then returned to college at Montana State University where she obtained her Master's degree in Counseling.
Jessi currently resides in Salt Lake City and is enjoying the world of rock climbing and kayaking.
In addition, she enjoys yoga and snowboarding and recently ran her first marathon. The challenge of running is a great fit for Jessi!
Jessi also loves to cook, read and enjoys quality time with the wonderful people in her life.

"Family Solutions Today" has been a dream of mine for many years.
The show actually started in June 2009 as the "Troubled Teen Help" radio show. Since that time the show has gained popularity in many areas with many guests all wanting to collaborate and share information for parents.
Being able to offer all of these professional resources is such an honor.
Many families today all across the United States, Canada and the European countries are challenged with all kinds of crisis moments, from the very small to the most complex.
"Family Solutions Today" addresses such issues as: adolescent transport services; adolescent treatment programs; helping tweens and teens through creative writing; pregnant and parenting teens; parenting the defiant teenager; the important of academies; interventions; equine assisted therapy; securing financing for residential placement; in-home support services; learning challenges; saving teens in crisis; online security; middle school boys; the transition into adulthood; wilderness programs; adventure therapy; holistic treatments; attachment issues; self-injury and many of the other everyday concerns families face.
