Special Guest: Penelope Valentine, CC, ICF Certified CoachCo-Founder, Next Step for Success.NEXT
STEP FOR SUCCESS® was established in 2003
by Bill and Penelope Valentine as a direct result of the many years that they
worked in specialty schools. More
specifically, their relationships with the parents and students while
enrolled in the schools and while the student transitioned home led to the
establishment of NEXT STEP. We are a skills-based, parent-coaching model that
has been especially designed to educate and support all parents -
whether your struggling teen or young adult is still residing IN THE HOME, or
is currently ENROLLED IN and/or TRANSITIONING
out of a specialty school or program. With over nine decades of combined experience working with families as
communicators, counselors and parent educators, every professional offering NEXT
STEP has extraordinary hands-on experience working with families who have a
struggling teen or young adult, and has an in-depth understanding of this
challenging process.
Along with husband, Bill, Penelope co-authored
their first publication titled "It wasn't supposed to be this way!" Coaching
for Parents of Struggling Teens and Young Adults.
After growing up and living in four foreign countries, Penelope has put her
roots down in Redmond, Oregon. Penelope is a step-mother and step-grandmother.
She and her husband, Bill, live in beautiful Central Oregon, where she enjoys
gardening, the great outdoors and her pets. |

About "FAMILY SOLUTIONS TODAY"
|
Dore Frances, M.A.. | "Family Solutions Today" has been a dream of mine for many years.
The show actually started in June 2009 as the "Troubled Teen Help" radio show. Since that time the show has gained popularity in many areas with many guests all wanting to collaborate and share information for parents. Being able to offer all of these professional resources is such an honor.

"Family Solutions Today" addresses such issues as: adolescent transport services; adolescent treatment programs; helping tweens and teens through creative writing; pregnant and parenting teens; parenting the defiant teenager; the important of academies; interventions; equine assisted therapy; securing financing for residential placement; in-home support services; learning challenges; saving teens in crisis; online security; middle school boys; the transition into adulthood; wilderness programs; adventure therapy; holistic treatments; attachment issues; self-injury and many of the other everyday concerns families face.
All of our guests are informative and bring to you each Monday beneficial information. Please join me, your host, Dore Frances, and the many "Family Solutions Today" guests.
