Swedish Motors Supports World AIDS Day And The Bike Town Africa Project.
Dream Ride For AIDS: 2-time Team RAAM (Race Across America) Finisher Mike Ridgeway will ride a two-mile loop within Lancaster City's Business District for a 24-Hour period as part of an awareness activity for World AIDS Day, Today Tuesday December 1, 2009. This event hopes to bring attention to the significance of December 1st as the international World AIDS Day as well as encourage donations to Lancaster's AIDS Service Organizations and the Rodale Institute supported Bike-Town Africa Project.
To Support Mike Ridgeway's Effort Swedish Motors will donate $5.00 of every service scheduled today towards the Bike-Town Africa Project.
Mike's goal is to send 5 bikes to HIV Workers in Africa through the Biketown Africa Project. Each bike costs $100.00.

The World AIDS Day - Dream Ride For AIDS event will also be promoting a Display of the AIDS Memorial Quilt in Harrisburg that will begin December 1 and run until January 1, 2010.
Ridgeway will be riding in a solo effort on a loop street circuit on the sections of the following city streets; Queen Street, Lemon Street, Duke Street, Vine Street, and Prince Street. He will be riding for a period of 24 hours beginning at 12:00 Midnight Tuesday December 1 and ending at 12:00 Midnight Wednesday December 1. The activity will have an information tent located in the Fulton Bank quadrant of Penn Square for additional information. At 10:00 AM today Mike entered his 9th hours of riding.
