What was it like before you came in to see us?
I moved slowly and walked with a cane 90% of the time (other than at home) which is now reduced to 20%. I was stiff and sore, depressed, couldn't sleep and spent 20 - 40 minutes on the potty over and over just trying to urinate. I was constipated for up to two weeks at a time. My feet were sore, calloused, and dry and cracking with deep grooves in them that bled. My nerve pain required treatments of weekly injections, biofeedback, and counseling.
How is it now?
My pain management Doctor set my next appointment for six months with no need for weekly injections. My bladder works normally now, like I was 20 years younger. My feet are soft with only some dryness; and, no more cracking and bleeding. I'm no longer constipated. I'm now off five different medications that I used to take regularly.

What was it like before you came in to see us?
I have had Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndromes since I was in college living in the dorms in the Fall of 1992. I've learned to manage my chronic illness for 19 years - but have never felt totally "well". There were always pieces of the puzzle missing in "solving" my fatigue and muscle pain. Like a combination lock - I was always addressing things; but, never in the right order to get me "well". I was stuck in this cycle of getting better, getting worse. One step forward, two steps back. Something was preventing me for 19 years from getting better.
How is it now?
I came to see Dr. Shannon when my chiropractor, Dr. Thatcher, referred me - because of all my stomach problems. Dr. Shannon is the first to address parasites in me - which I now believe was a large piece of missing puzzle. Also, Dr. Shannon's use of Nutrition Response Testing hopefully is addressing my causes or pain/fatigue in the correct order so we can open this combination lock and help me get "well" once and for good. I just want to be healthy and live a long life. I want to live to see my grandchildren - something my father never got to do. In six weeks, I feel about 25% better with fatigue and muscle pain. I feel that as I continue with Dr. Shannon - I'll get better and better and eventually "well". The spark of hope has been reignited in my belief that I can be "well".

Improvement Report
I met Dr. Shannon six months after my second diagnosis of cancer and had just been diagnosed with my third round of cancer. I was physically and emotionally exhausted and had no idea how I could possibly make it through more surgeries and chemo. With Dr. Shannon's help I came out of this unbelievable situation. Stronger, more vibrant, and alive than I had the previous two times. I know without a doubt that it was the change in my diet and Dr. Shannon's understanding of what my body needed that picked me up from a very dark place.

What was it like before you came in to see us?
I was having some concerns with joint pain in my lower back, elbows, and knees. Also, I was having issue with my bowels. I'm also concerned with my weight. I seem to not be able to lose weight. I have tried all kinds of things, nothing works.
How is it now?
I have very little pain, which is awesome! And, my bowel issue is starting to go in the right direction, yeah! I am eating better (could still be doing better, I'm working on it). I have lost some weight.

What was it like before you came in to see us?
I was exhausted all the time - felt as tired upon waking as when I went to bed. I would also wake several times during the night. My thought processes were very fuzzy - it was becoming difficult to do my job well. Also, I had a problem with always feeling bloated and passing a lot of air. I also had a tight pinching feeling under my breastbone often.
How is it now?
My exhaustion has improved - I am able to work through the day without using my lunch break as "nap time". My thought process has improved - I am much less "fuzzy". My bloating is mostly gone, and I rarely have to pass air. The tight pinch under my breastbone is gone! And, my sugar cravings are so much less.
