Health Care the Way Mother Nature Intended!
Greetings!

How To Lose Weight Sustainably, Without Hunger or Gimmicks.

The science of losing weight and keeping it off for a lifetime has been known since the 1850's. One of the greatest tools to apply this science correctly and conveniently has only been around for a few years.

In order to lose weight and keep it off for a lifetime, there is one unshakable rule.  It is this: your carbohydrate consumption has to be below 70 grams per day.

The tool to track this conveniently is a website where you type in the food you eat for the day and it counts out your carbohydrate grams.  Some examples are www.sparkpeople.com, www.fitday.com, and www.livestrong.com. These are free. There are others that cost money. There are also apps for your smartphone to do this. We prefer www.sparkpeople.com.

These websites print out grams of fat, protein, carbohydrates and calories.  VERY IMPORTANT! -- DO NOT pay any attention to the amount of fats, proteins or calories.

DO NOT concern yourself with other topics of weight loss like food addiction, "excessive hunger", genetics, emotional eating, sugars that don't count as carbs or fibers that negate carbs. Just keep the grams of carbohydrates below 70 per day!

Don't worry about motivating yourself, loving your body, "thinking positively" or being judged. Just keep the grams of carbohydates below 70 per day!

Don't worry about cholesterol, fat burning pills, pills for carbohydrate blocking, mind-over-body, portion control or guilt. Just keep the grams of carbohydrates below 70 per day. Keep your focus on that!  Don't be distracted by what you see in magazines or in the news.

When you make food choices, choose real food: Salads, vegetables, meat, fruit, nuts, and seeds.  Your lunch is a salad with meat and cheese on it.  Your breakfast is eggs fried slowly in butter or bacon fat (your cholesterol will drop, we've proven it many times!). If you get tired of eggs then eat something else. Your dinner is vegetables and something that used to be alive.  See which foods are excessively high in carbohydrates and decrease their consumption.  If you eat bread, choose the sprouted kind; it's in the freezer section but watch the carbs.

Sparkpeople.com recommends that you eat 280-330 grams of carbohydrates per day. This is too much and will make you fat and tired. I do not recommend reading the articles in these websites. They are written by conventionally trained practitioners.

The unshakable rule to lose weight... Keep the grams of carbohydrates below 70 per day.  If it doesn't work, you may need to go lower.  If that doesn't work, then you are toxic or have hormonal imbalance.  See us for more help.

Sincerely,
Dr. Schmidt

NHCAA would like to welcome our newest practitioner.

Dr. Lisa D'Eramo is joining NHCAA beginning Friday, June 25. She is a chiropractor and naturopathic physician who has spent her career specializing in natural health care and wellness.

She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of Cincinnati.  She went on to attend the National College of Chiropractic in Chicago where she earned her second Bachelor of Science in Human Biology and her Doctor of Chiropractic Degree in 1995.  Dr. Lisa has also attained certification as a Naturopathic
Physician and has completed Advanced Clinical Training in Nutrition Response Testing. Additionally, Dr. Lisa has completed clinical coursework and is eligible to sit for the Certified Clinical Nutritionist examination.

Dr. Lisa currently maintains an active practice in Clarendon Hills, IL and is joining The Nutritional Healing Center of Ann Arbor on Fridays. Along with chiropractic and nutrition, she also utilizes blood chemistry, saliva testing, auriculotherapy and other modalities to attain a

Spreading the Health

"I was dealing with severe hives for five years. It was impossible for me to sleep, to work, to concentrate, to have fun or do anything because hives were all over my body and were itching all the time. I slept about 2 or 3 nights a week in a bath tub, because that gave a relief to the hives! As a result of all that I was always tired, dizzy, sleepy, depressed, angry, and exhausted. I saw all kinds of specialists in both Henry Ford Hospital and U of M Hospital and took various types of blood tests. And all they told me was that they don't know what is causing this and we have to wait until it's gone! And while waiting you can take antihistamine and prednisone to reduce the symptoms. And, none of them worked for my hives.

After two weeks of coming to this center my hives were completely gone. My energy level was high. The moment I open my eyes in the morning I want to get out of the bed and start the day. I am very happy. Even though I've been dealing with a lot of stress during this time I've handled it extremely well."
