Pass It On

"Before I came in (to The Nutritional Healing Center of Ann Arbor) I was unable to walk, and barely able to do anything. My body was numb from my upper back down to my feet and my left hand. "I was training for a marathon when I first came in to NHCAA and my body had gone completely haywire. I felt like my adrenaline response was on all of the time. My heart was racing and I felt revved up and anxious 24 hours a day and therefore wasn't sleeping much at all. I was also really nauseous and had no appetite, I had heartburn that I had never had before, and my body temperature regulation was out of wack. I had had some issues in the past with my adrenal glands and I thought that maybe what I was experiencing was related to that again. But my regular doctor ran some basic bloodwork and insisted that it wasn't and even suggested that since I was getting older (I'm 41), maybe I just shouldn't run so much. That's when I knew I needed to look for help outside of traditional medicine.
 
Dr. Schmidt confirmed my suspicions, that it was indeed my adrenal glands. I would say that all of the symptoms that I had on the first day have pretty much disappeared at this point. I now look forward to continuing to improve my health and to feeling better and more energetic than I have in years. I have also worked with various doctors over the past 7 years to balance my hormones with limited success. I believe that I am now on the path with NHCAA to actually do that. And as an added bonus, I've lost about 10 pounds."
