heart SPREAD THE HEALTH!

The Effects of Soy

- Soy can interfere with protein digestion and may cause pancreatic disorders.

- Soy can disrupt hormone function and has the potential to cause infertility and promote breast cancer in adult women.

- Soy phytoestrogens are anti-thyroid agents that can cause hypothyroidism and may cause thyroid cancer.

- Tofu has been shown to shrink brain tissue and reduce memory function.

- A prison in Texas decided to save money and started feeding the inmates soy protein instead of real meat.  This would be like eating Boca Burgers, Tofurkey and soydogs.  The prisoners became bloated, depressed, fatigued and gassy.  They sued the prison for cruel and unusual punishment and won!  Real meat was put back on the menu.

Be wary and educated.  Soy has been heavily marketed as a health food by its manufacturers.  However, it is not a traditional food in any culture, not even in the Far East.  When it was introduced to human diets 1,000 years ago, only the poorest of the poor ate it because other people with wealth saw its damaging effects and they avoided it.

For more information on the problems associated with the consumption of soy visit:
