Carb Cycle O' Death ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Are you on the carb cycle o' death? Here it is: You
wake up in the morning very tired. You hit the
snooze button three times or more. You finally drag
yourself out of bed, late. You are not hungry so you
skip breakfast. You rush around at home to make it
to work on time. At 11 am you start to get hungry.
You go for a snack like a bagel, pastry, pop, coffee
or a cigarette. Each of these pumps sugar into your
bloodstream. You make it to lunch and have a
"normal" lunch (high in carbs).
By 2:30 pm, you are ready to fall asleep at your desk. If you can't take a nap, it's back to the snack food, pop or cigarette to artificially stimulate you for a few hours. When you finally get home at 5:30, you are starving. Soon, a big bowl of pasta satisfies your hunger. You spend the rest of the evening in a food coma: half-dazed, content doing nothing. You wake up the next morning tired but not hungry, hitting the snooze button four times. This cycle leads to heart disease, diabetes and predisposes to cancer. If you need help getting off of the carbs, contact Dr. Schmidt.

"My kid won't eat that"-Popeye to the rescue ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You may have kids that won't eat certain good
foods. They only eat bad foods despite your efforts
to clean up their diet. My heart goes out to you and
I thank you for trying to feed your kid the good
foods. Here is some help in how you sell
the good foods to your kids. Wjhat they see on TV
commercials is what is creating their likes in food.
What do your kids see on TV?
In 1929, Popeye the Sailor made his debut. U.S. spinach consumption increased 33 percent in the next few years as children came to rate it third only to turkey and ice cream as their favorite food. Popeye is credited with the increase. This info is from the book "Food Chronology" by James Trager.
