Founders Day Recognizes Volunteers & High School Scholarship Recipients
The Las Trampas Creek Council of PTAs annual Founders Day event was held at Scott's Garden in Walnut Creek on Tuesday, May 12. A big thank you to chairs, Erin Bydalek and Kathy Ranstrom, for organizing this annual luncheon that recognizes the founding of Las Trampas Creek Council of PTAs on May 12, 1998.

Reflections Theme for 2009-2010
 The PTA Reflections Program provides opportunities for students to express themselves creatively and to receive positive recognition for original works of art inspired by a pre-selected theme, while increasing community awareness on the importance of the arts in education.
The theme for the 2009-2010 school year is: "Beauty is..."
Your school's Reflections Chair may want to publicize the new theme and encourage students to work over the summer months on a creative project in one of the six art areas:
· Literature
· Musical composition
· Photography
· Visual arts
· Dance Choreography
· Film/Video Production
Training will be provided for each of the school's Reflections Chairs in early September 2009. If you have any questions, please contact LTCC Reflections Chair, Allison Ridenhour at ridenhoura@aol.com. |

Reminder: Send 2009-2010 Officer Information
Please send contact information for your unit's newly elected president, recording secretary, and treasurer to Jill Buschini. The due date is May 5 per your bylaws. Council is required to send this information on to State PTA through channels. Please provide the following contact information: name, office/position title, mailing address, contact phone number and email address.
Additionally, we will need to collect contact information for all remaining officers, plus your legislation representative, membership chair, and Reflections chair. Council will compile this information for the Council Directory 2009-2010. Please send to Jill Buschini by May 5 the positions that have been filled and remit any positions as they are filled throughout the summer.
These officers and chairmen will receive Council Bytes in the 2009-10 school year. | |
