School funding hangs in the balance.  Our districts, teachers and programs are at risk. This year, more than ever, it is important to make this trip to Sacramento.  Meet with our legislators; send a clear message to the Governor and elected leaders:
 
There is no better economic stimulus than to invest in public education. It is the root of maintaining a strong work force, responsible citizens, and intellectual creativity that has driven the success of the Bay Area and California.
 
Sign -up with a friend by February 10th.  Rediscover citizen action. Your participation really DOES make a difference! 
 
Bus transportation, lunch and program is all included for $65.  Check with your school's Legislative Representative to see if parent club or PTA funds available to fund registration in part or whole. 

GET SMART On Education provides information about issues and legislation that affect public education in the Lamorinda and Walnut Creek communities  The Las Trampas Creek Legislation Team provides links to expert and government reports, and encourages active citizenship to voice your views about government decisions that affect school funding and programs. The Legislation Team is a committee of the Las Trampas Creek Council PTA serving local school communities within the Acalanes Union High School District attendance area. The Legislation Team meets monthly throughout the year and welcomes all to participate.
