The University of Louisville is partnering with the Lincoln Heritage Council to offer "A College for a Day" experience to local youth. This is your chance to work with University of Louisville professors and learn skills that will better prepare you for college and the "real world".
Parents & Volunteers: There will be free informational sessions on Admissions and Financial aid, so please plan to attend.
UofL Professors will partner with local Merit Badge Counselors, and the curriculum offered will be the BSA merit badge for that subject.
College for a Day will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2012 at the University of Louisville Belknap Campus. Cost is $15 per student and includes lunch, patch, and registration packet. This event is open to Scouts and non-Scouts. Click here to see our Facebook page and register.

Celebrate the 25th Anniversary of Camp Crooked Creek with Specialty Merchandise Commemorate the Silver Anniversary of Camp Crooked Creek with special edition merchandise. From polos to pen and pencil sets we've got it all! The Lincoln Heritage Council is now taking pre-orders for speciality merchandise. LHC to offer Commissioner College  Commissioner College will be held on April 28-29, 2012 at Camp Roy C. Manchester. The cost will be $35 per participant.
The college is based on an academic college model with degrees conferred on graduates based on a national BSA curriculum. The courses offered at our college are designed to expose participants to the multiple aspects and approaches to Commissioner Service. This annual training event will allow participants to take back new ideas and resources to their units, districts and councils. The goal of the college is to motivate, train, and inform commissioners on how to help units succeed.

Currently, we are seeking an optimistic individual for a support staff role. This position works behind the scenes and provides the ever important support services to the Council. NRA to offer Refuse To Be A VictimŽ Course Refuse To Be A VictimŽ is a seminar full of crime prevention and personal safety strategies you can use to develop your own safety plan. In just three to four hours, you will learn about home, automobile, phone, technology, travel, personal safety - and much more. The course will be offered on Saturday, April 28, 2012. Registration deadline is April 18.

What difference can Scouts make?
During the week of April 15-22, 2012 we encourage each unit to plan and execute a community service project that will benefit their city, town and/or county. With over 35,000 Scouts, Scouters, and parents involved with the Lincoln Heritage Council, we have the opportunity to make a HUGE impact on 64 counties in Kentucky, Indiana, Illinois and Tennessee.
