Volunteers needed for Sporting Clays Classic
This year's tournament will be our 16th Annual Sporting Clays Classic. This year's Classic will be held on Friday, May 18th and Saturday, May 19st at the Steel Technologies in Eminence, KY. Teams will come from all over our Council area in support of Scouting. As you know, all proceeds from the tournament go towards supporting our local Boy Scout programs. With this many teams and shooters, we need volunteers to help us run a fun and safe tournament. We respectfully ask that all volunteers be 14 years old or older (or be accompanied by an Adult) due to nature of this tournament. Volunteers are needed in lots of different areas and for various times. Volunteers will be needed on both Friday, May 18th and on Saturday, May 19th. As a volunteer, you can help on one or both days. You can also specify to work mornings or afternoons or all day. Every volunteer will receive a cap as recognition and meals for their time and help. Scout Camps teach Scouts lessons and values that will last a lifetime, including honesty, helping others, character development and respect for the law. Training
One-day training event for volunteers and Scouters The University of Scouting is a one-day training event that offers workshops for Cub Scout, Boy Scout, Venturing, Commissioner, and District Committee volunteers. The council training committee has assembled the best trainers in the council, and has selected a wide spectrum of individual workshops that will strengthen each volunteer's ability to deliver better Scouting for our youth. Tuition is $30 per attendee.

Refuse to be a Victim Course
Refuse To Be A Victim is a seminar full of crime prevention and personal safety strategies you can use to develop your own safety plan. In just three to four hours, you will learn about home, automobile, phone, technology, travel, personal safety and much more. Course will be offered Saturday, April 28, 2012.

Scouters Honored with the Silver Beaver Award The Silver Beaver Award is the highest honor a Council can bestow upon its volunteers for extraordinary service to the youth of our community. The National Court of Honor approves thirteen Lincoln Heritage Council Scouters who have given so much of their time, talent, and treasure to our movement.
