B. Cullen Gibson repeats with top Legal Food Frenzy prize |
The top prize in the friendly statewide competition we call the Legal Food Frenzy this year goes to a firm in which each person raised an average of 18,750 pounds of food.
Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli announced today that for the second straight year the B. Cullen Gibson law firm in Norfolk will receive the Attorney General's Cup for greatest per capita contribution in the two-week contest. The 18,750 raised per person this year compares with 7,500 pounds to earn top honors in 2011.
The contest is a collaboration among the AG's office, the Federation of Virginia Food Banks and the VBA. Young Lawyers Division members Chris Gill, Derek Swanson and Virginia Robinson coordinated the campaign. Read more ... |

On Friday and Saturday, the Executive Council of the YLD will hold its spring meeting at The Sanderling Resort and Spa in the Outer Banks of North Carolina.
And on Monday, May 14, YLD members will be calling to encourage folks to renew memberships in the Association for 2012. Volunteers get to rekindle acquaintances. Meet other young lawyers. Eat and drink courtesy of the VBA.
It's not too late to offer to help. The phone-a-thon will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Monday at the VBA Office at Seventh and Franklin streets in downtown Richmond. Bring your cell phone. Please dash off a quick email to staff Membership Coordinator Branden Patrick and let her know you are eager to help. |
