Are your closets and cabinets bursting with "treasures" that you once thought you couldn't live without, but which now just seem unnecessary and burdensome? Do you want to simplify your life? Or would you simply like more space in your space? 

Good news: The Annual Garage Sale at Beginner's Mind Zen Center is your opportunity to generously unburden yourself AND help the Zen Center raise needed funds. We've even cleared out the center's garage (that was no small feat!) to make room for all the things you can live without.   

THE GARAGE SALE DATES

Saturday, March 10th & Sunday, March 11th

7am - 2pm each day (approximately)

What kinds of stuff are we looking for? Just about anything, in good condition, that someone else would want. Clothing, household items, small appliances, electronics, toys, furniture... if you've seen it at another garage or yard sale, and it's in good condition, that's what we're looking for. (We are in special need of clothes hangers - lots of hangers - for the clothes that will be coming in for the sale.) 

PREPARATIONS  

On Saturday, March 3rd after work period (1pm - 5pm), we'll prepare for the sale, but DON'T WAIT UNTIL THEN to bring in your donated items. Start bringing your donated items right away! And don't forget to ask family and friends for anything they'd like to donate, as well.

Have a large item you'd like to donate (sofa, dining table, etc.), but need help getting it to the Zen Center? You can make arrangements with Dustin for any large items that need

to be picked up. Email him. 

Volunteers are needed for the following jobs:

• Help advertise the event on Craigslist 
• Make flyers to be posted and passed on to our friends and neighbors
• Post flyers at nearby stores, etc. 
• Make large Garage Sale signs
• Post the Garage Sale signs in the morning and take them down after sale ends, each day 
• People to sell are needed most at the opening hours 
• Closing the sale (clean up and store left-over items, etc.) 
• Help take left-over items to Goodwill (e.g.), and/or post any large unsold items after the sale on Craigslist
