NIST NET-ZERO ENERGY HOMES PROJECT

This month we're happy to feature a practical application of one of our instruments. NIST (the National Institute of Standards & Technology) will be using our Climomaster handheld anemometer in their Net-Zero Energy Homes Project.
The project has two main purposes: The first is to assess the performance of a green building as the uncertainties regarding performance is currently an obstacle in getting people and businesses to adapt more environmentally-friendly and energy saving technology. The second is to develop a guideline that outlines how to build, maintain and monitor a net-zero energy building. NIST will be using the Kanomax Climomaster, handheld thermal anemometer as one of the testing instruments in this project. At a 2% accuracy rating, the Climomaster is the most accurate hot-wire anemometer on the market, making it perfect for research and development projects like the zero-energy home.
Our staff is gearing up for several upcoming Fall tradeshows:
On October 3rd we'll be at ISPE Boston's Product Show 2012 in Foxborough, MA. Our tradeshow team will be present to share information about our Cleanroom Monitoring System and our new upcoming 1 CFM remote sensor.
We'll also be at AAAR (Oct 8-12) in Minneapolis, MN. At this show we'll be showing our high-end aerosol research projects including our upcoming PAMS and MSI.Tokyo's infiTOF.
Kanomax will be hosting a workshop at AAAR where we will demo and explain the use of our products. The sessions include:
1. APM (Aerosol Particle Mass Analyzer)
2. PAMS (Portable Aerosol Mobility Spectrometer)
3. InfiTOF (Time of Flight Mass Spectrometer)
