TRCS Tuition Assistance Campaign Begins!

Thermometer Aug 2

TRCS is kicking off a "Tuition Assistance Campaign" with the goal of raising money to help families who rely on financial aid to send their children to TRCS.  The above thermometer will track our progress as we work towards our goal of raising $35,000 by June of 2012.  We have already raised $4,000 towards our goal!  Donations can be sent to the school by mail, or made online by credit card by clicking here.

CDC Cookie Dough Sale Kicks Off October 7th!

The Classic Recipes Cookie Dough fundraiser kicks off October 7th. Don't miss this wonderful opportunity to support our Child Development Center and assist you in a way to provide delicious holiday baking!  Please call us at 423-4510 to place an order, or better yet, drop by so we can express our appreciation to you in person! Proceeds from this fundraiser will go towards classroom learning tools and play equipment.

Annual Asbestos Disclaimer

As required by law, schools must inform parents if there is asbestos in the school buildings.  Three Rivers Christian School has asbestos in some of the older buildings; some ceilings and some floor tile.  This is inspected and managed according to law, and at this time, the asbestos is completely contained.
Greetings!

Welcome to the first "e-newsletter" edition of the "TRCS Eagle Eye!"  We encourage you to help our mailing list grow by forwarding this newsletter to your family and friends and encouraging them to click on the "subscribe" link in the lower left hand corner of this newsletter.

This new format for the "Eagle Eye" will allow us to keep you up-to-date on everything that's happening at TRCS.  In tangent with our new "Sycamore" system (see below), technology will help strengthen our ministry!

If you have questions or comments about the new changes, please don't hesitate to contact us.

Sycamore & Smart Tuition
TRCS Joins the Tech Revolution

This year, TRCS is taking a large step in updating our communications systems by using Sycamore and Smart Tuition.

Sycamore is an online portal that allows our families to access the classroom website, grades and information on their child through a secure, 24/7, web-based access portal.  Login information will be sent to every family starting this fall.

Smart Tuition will replace our old billing system, and will allow families to make payments or speak to billing representatives at any time, day or night.  It also allows for automatic debiting from your bank account, and provides a private, convenient method for making tuition payments.  If you have questions on either Sycamore or Smart Tuition, please contact Carolyn Cade, Business Manager.

Welcome New Volleyball Coaches!

Mean EagleJack and Carol Joy will be joining TRCS this year as coaches for our volleyball teams.  This will be Jack's 36th year of coaching, and his 14th year as a varsity volleyball coach.  Besides starting the varsity volleyball programs at Vancouver Christian High School and Surrey Garden Christian School in Gilbert, Arizona, he has also coached at Phoenix Christian High School, Coronado High School in Scottsdale, Arizona and King's Way Christian High School in Vancouver, Washington. 11 out of the past 13 years, his varsity volleyball teams have participated in post-season play, garnering over 200 wins along the way. For 4 years in a row, his teams have been awarded nationally recognized academic honors.

Carol has been assisting her husband for the last 13 years.  Prior to that she was active in administering dance team in Houston, Texas and Vancouver, Washington.  Her other real love is music.  For 36 years, she ahd the pleasure of directing children's music groups through local churches.

At TRCS, she has already been blessed in getting to know the players and many of the parents in the TRCS volleyball family.  She says, "This is going to be such a great season!  I am honored to receive your trust to work as a member of the coaching staff, and with your daughters.  See you on the court.  Go Lady Eagles!"

"With a team philosophy of HONOR GOD, HONOR YOUR SCHOOL, HONOR YOUR FAMILY, HONOR YOUR TEAM, and HAVE FUN, we have taken great strides in all areas to build a volleyball program that you can be proud of," Jack says.   "We thank you so much for your past support and your future support of Three Rivers Volleyball.  I am so pleased and honored to have the opportunity to work with this great group of coaches, players, and parents this year. We have begun a journey together. Where that journey will continue to take us, we don't know, but it will be my pleasure to take that journey with this outstanding team. We look forward to seeing you in the stands this fall!"
