CDC says privatization results in excessive consumption!
A Centers for Disease Control (CDC) task force of national public health experts has recommended against privatization of alcohol sales because, according to the study, it results in "excessive consumption, which is one of the leading causes of preventable death and disability."
The report has been published in the American Journal of Preventive Medicine, a leading public health publication.
The CDC study stands in stark contrast to a 'study' funded by one of the state's leading privatization cheerleaders that has yet to undergo peer review and has yet to be published by any significant, serious scientific journal.
You can, however, find it on a blog or two.
The CDC study also echoes the findings of dozens of studies conducted around the nation and world that all lead, ultimately, to the same conclusion:
Privatization is bad policy that jeopardizes public health and safety.
