The Kyle Area Chamber of Commerce proudly features Whataburger for our Member Monday!

"Over six decades ago, an adventurous and determined entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, 'What a burger!'"

"Today, our founder's original vision still inspires everything we do. We're still family owned and operated. Each and every WhataburgerŽ is still made to order-when it's ordered. We still use 100% pure American beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. We still greet our customers with a smile 24 hours a day, seven days a week."

Kyle seeks to preserve its identity amid growth
With a rebounding economy and room to grow, Kyle is poised to add rooftops and retail after a relative lull that capped years of tremendous growth, experts say.
Kyle ballooned from about 5,000 residents to 28,000 in a decade, a sudden spurt that brought challenges as the city's budget and infrastructure lagged behind the boom.
With new regulations and new management, city officials say they're better prepared to handle a second round of growth that could catapult the population past that of San Marcos, the Hays County seat.
State demographer Lloyd Potter said the population in the Kyle-Buda area grew 126 percent from 2000 to 2010, while San Marcos grew 22 percent, to 44,894 in 2010.
Kyle, now home to an estimated 29,293 residents, will continue to grow, Potter said, and rapidly. Read more.
