Now Accepting Board Nominations
|
The Kyle Chamber is accepting nominations for individuals interested in serving on the Kyle Chamber Board of Directors. This volunteer position is elected by members of the Kyle Area Chamber of Commerce at the November luncheon and each term is a three year term beginning in January 2012. The chamber is a catalyst for economic growth and prosperity in the local community. We are currently seeking nominees with vision, drive and the leadership skills to make decisions that will take the organization of the Kyle Area Chamber of Commerce to the next level as the community around us grows and evolves. An ideal candidate should: - Serve as a positive and effective spokesperson for the organization
- Serve as a strong public advocate for the organization's mission and values
- Actively develop goals and objectives to advance the mission
Do you have what it takes? If you are interested in serving as a board member or would like to nominate a fellow colleague for the position, simply contact Johnell Huebner at Johnell@clearlyclassyevents.com for more information. We will be accepting nominations until November 4th.

Angel Tree Luncheon
|
The award-winning Kyle Chamber of Commerce hosted the Angel Tree Luncheon on October 25, 2011. The event was held at Hays CISD Performing Arts Center from 11:30am to 1:00pm. A delicious meal was prepared by Carino's Italian Grill. The special guest speakers of the event were Abby Hurst, Volunteer Coordinator; Sylvia Reyes, Clinical Manager; and Abel Rodriguez, Bereavement Coordinator of Central Texas Medical Center Hospice Care. The event was sponsored by Central Texas Medical Center Hospice Care and participants had the opportunity to listen to an informative presentation about the services CTMC Hospice provides to grieving families. The guest speakers also covered several programs that help children and young adults struggling with the loss of a loved one. The "Angel Tree" is one such program-with the purchase of an angel tree topper; a child in need will be able to have a great holiday season.
Ray Hernandez, Executive Director of the Kyle Chamber, honored new members, a total of 10 for the month of September, at the luncheon. Each new member was given a plaque and had a photo opportunity with Kyle Chamber Board members, Ambassadors, and elected officials.
