Lunch is served at noon on the third Friday of each month at the historic Kyle City Hall. All proceeds benefit the Kyle Area Senior Zone. This luncheon will not only help our senior citizens but it will also allow you the chance to present your business in a personal way to the citizens of Kyle.

Kyle Chamber April Luncheon

Chamber Ambassadors & New Members

Social Media & Lasagna
The Kyle Area Chamber of Commerce honored Administrative Professionals at the April 26th luncheon. Businesses and organizations were encouraged to bring their staff to a great luncheon featuring organic beef lasagna, provided by Mom's Beef of the Michaelis Ranch and prepared by the Inn Above Onion Creek, and a gift bag containing goodies for each honoree.
The luncheon was held at the Hays CISD Performing Arts Center (979 Kohler's Crossing in Kyle) and was sponsored by the Inn Above Onion Creek, a local Bed and Breakfast in Kyle, Texas.
Presentations were led by Shea Bailey of SavingsChomp.com and Don Hauk, web designer for the Inn Above Onion Creek. Both speakers covered the popularity and significance of social media and how it could help local businesses.
The Kyle Chamber also unveiled their newest venture, a discount program called "Simply Charming Deal"  that will allow Chamber members to offer their products and services at a discount price to the general public. "Simply Charming Deal" is similar to Groupon or Living Social and will be giving members the opportunity to gain exposure and promote their business.
Look for "Simply Charming Deal" on the Kyle Chamber website, it will be launching in late summer 2011.

Kyle Library's Summer Reading Program
Sponsorship Opportunities Available

The Kyle Public Library begins its annual reading program on June 8, 2011. This year's theme is "Dig Up a Good Book!" The summer reading program is designed to encourage and promote reading so that the reading skills of our young patrons are retained, and we hope improved, during the summer. We are expecting about 2000 or more participants.

Would you be interested in helping by donating prizes to raffle in order to encourage children's reading? The following are suggested ideas for donations, but feel free to provide items other than those listed:

  • Books
  • Coupons
  • Gift cards
  • Educational items
  • Admission tickets
  • Any reading incentive appropriate for ages 1-17

If you are able to contribute, please contact Teresa Montalvo or Briseida Torres at 512-268-7411 or circulation@cityofkyle.com.

On behalf of Kyle Public Library readers, we thank you in advance for your support.

  • Residents with even numbered address are to water on Thursdays and/or Sundays.
  • Commercial and multi-family customers are to water on Tuesdays and Fridays.
