Summer School Spells Success
 The buzz of brain power is palpable in Lori Morales' room. Morales teaches for the Blaine County School District Summer School. Her students are focused, happy and concentrating as they read books alone or in small groups. The morning sunshine pours in through the windows, matching the sunny and welcoming tenor of the room.
This is a typical classroom at Summer School, where students are not only recouping academic skills lost between the end of school and the beginning of Summer School, they are advancing and making gains before the start of the new year. Students Study Over Summer
 150 students from Wood River Middle School and Wood River High School took 250 classes this summer, all through the Idaho Digital Learning Academy (IDLA). Some students take classes to challenge themselves academically and some take classes to recover credits. Run by Lynnett Mehlberg-Porth, IDLA Summer Site Coordinator for the last six years, the computer lab at WRHS is open three days a week.
