Students Shine in New Theater
Students performed for an enthusiastic crowd in the newly remodeled Wood River High School Performing Arts Theater last Wednesday. The theater will prepare students for the 21st Century, the first goal of the BCSD Strategic Plan. Thank you to the Performing Arts Committee who volunteered their time and expertise to ensure that tax dollars were appropriately used during the remodel. BCSD proudly employed dozens of local contractors on this project; many of them attended the ribbon-cutting. We thank the taxpayers for their support of public education. Students Featured in State Publication
Hailey Elementary Kindergarten students were featured in Albertson Foundation's Idaho Education Resource: A Guide for Idahoans En Route to Success. Jennifer Boatwright's students use iPads twenty minutes a day to build their vocabulary, spelling, math and reading skills. "The use of iPads in my classroom has exceeded my expectations," says Boatwright in the article. "But there is one thing that technology can never replace, and that's human relationships."
