Students Recognized for Science
 Students participating in the Hailey Elementary Science Fair had an opportunity to also compete in the Tournament of Innovation sponsored by the Discovery Center of Idaho. The Tournament of Innovation is a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) competition for students in grades K-12 to promote creative thinking and integrate all areas of STEM. Hailey students and brothers Alex Baker, 4th grade and Luke Baker, 1st grade, won "Best of Category for Science Experiments," for grades K-8 at the Idaho state finals and received a $125 saving bond. Students Qualify for State Geography Bee
 Hailey and Hemingway Elementary recently held Geographic Bees. At Hailey, Sam Bingham won 1st place and Laura Quinones took 2nd place. Both students are in 5th grade. At Hemingway, 4th grader Aidan Burchmore took 1st place. READ MORE HERE

 Wood River High School Business Professionals of America members competed at the State Leadership Conference in Boise recently. James Petzke, Sean Sutton, and Conor Clark qualified for the National Leadership Conference that will take place the end of April. READ MORE HERE

Skyward Mobile App for iOS* (iPhone®, iPad®, and iPod Touch®)
 Skyward is pleased to announce the new Skyward Mobile Access app available for iOS devices. Skyward Mobile Access will allow district users to configure their iOS mobile devices to connect more conveniently to Skyward's mobile application without the need to enter a URL and login/password each time. Users can obtain the free application in the Apple® App Store. *Skyward Mobile for AndroidT devices will be coming soon!

Dual Immersion Information Night for Incoming Kindergarten Parents
 This evening is for parents of incoming Kindergarten students and will provide information on the Dual Immersion Bilingual Education Program in BCSD, which presents instruction to students in both Spanish and in English. This meeting has been scheduled prior to Kindergarten registration on April 23, 2012. We will provide interpretation in Spanish by way of headsets, as well as childcare.  The partnership between Blaine County School District and Mountain Rides is only applicable when school is in session and does not include holidays, weekends, or school breaks.
