Parent/Community Involvement in Science Instructional Materials Committee Deadline Extended
ImageThe Blaine County School District will extend the deadline to Monday, April 2 at noon to apply for the Science Instructional Materials Committee.

The District encourages people with backgrounds and/or an interest in science to consider applying for the committee. Making large-scale systemic decisions such as adopting instructional materials is often time-sensitive and time-intensive. In an effort to ensure a thorough process for parental and community involvement in textbook selection, the District recognizes there was a limited amount of time for interested parents to apply. "When we see something that needs to be addressed, we want to correct it," said Superintendent Dr. Lonnie Barber.
The District encourages parents and patrons to read the full cover letter and application. "It's not written to exclude people and it clearly states that we want people with differing points of view on the committee," said Curriculum Director Patty McLean.
