Board of Trustees Takes Quick Action  At the Wednesday, February 29 BCSD Board of Trustees Work Session, the Board took quick action to remedy a vote from the February 21 regular Board of Trustee meeting that unintentionally violated the Idaho Open Meeting Act. As with all open Board meetings, this meeting was held in full view of the public and also webcast. The Board remedied the vote regarding the start date of the school calendar so that the vote was in accordance with Idaho Open Meeting code. The start date of school will begin after Labor Day. Meet Ryan Buell, National Merit Scholarship Finalist
 Congratulations to Wood River High School Senior Ryan Buell, a National Merit Scholarship Finalist. Students are qualified based on the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. Out of 1.5 million entrants, 16,000 students were named Semifinalists last fall. Semifinalists are the highest scorers in each state, accounting for less than 1% of seniors statewide.
