Students Learn About Fall in the Mountains 
Image Project Based Learning is taking off in the Blaine County School District. 4th grade students in Kathy Oliver's class at Woodside Elementary learned about landforms after visiting the Sawtooth National Recreation Area. Check out this inspiring video:  Fall in the Mountains

Students Show Off Rocks and Minerals 
The staff and students of Wood River Middle School cordially invite you, your family, and friends to attend our 19th Annual Rock & Mineral Show to be held Wednesday, November 23rd in the main hallway and cafeteria. Eight grade students whose last names begin with A - L present from 8:35 a.m. - 9:10 a.m. and students whose last names begin with M - Z present from 9;15 a.m. - 9:55 a.m. Students are asked to "dress up" for this special occasion. All rock projects must be taken home after the show before the Thanksgiving Holiday.
Chess Club News 
The Wood River High School Chess Club is up and running again after the long hiatus. The WRHS Chess Club is open to everyone and meets from 3:30 - 5:30 pm on Thursdays in room C214. Elementary, middleschool, high school, and adults are welcome to join.

Community Notes 
St. Luke's YAK! is partnering with Wood River Middle School, Blaine County School District, and the Blaine County Recreation District to provide an after school program at the Community Campus for middle school students. The program is designed with a "whole child" philosophy and includes academic support, recreation, enrichment workshops, and clubs in which students can choose to participate. The program also allows other local community organizations and adult volunteers to reach the middle school youth population more easily...FULL STORY
