On Thursday, October 6 from 6:30-7:30 pm at the Hailey Public Library parents (and students) are invited to attend a presentation with David Moniz, Director of K-12 Education for The College Board, which administers SAT and AP. The Blaine County School District will hold professional development for all staff on Thursday, October 6 and Friday, October 7 as part of the State-required in-service days.

Project Based Learning will be the focus of professional development for all staff next Thursday, October 6. Staff will work with their school teams to further their knowledge of Project Based Learning. Project Based Learning is part of the BCSD Strategic Plan, "Our students exhibit BCSD 21st Century Performance Indicators." BCSD 21st Century Performance Indicators help students become critical thinkers, problem solvers and effective communicators. On Friday, October 7, staff will have several professional development options, including training in the new math curriculum, International Baccalaureate (Wood River Middle School), End of Course Exams (Wood River High School), technology, bullying awareness, communication, and more.
