ImageInspiring Student Represents Hundreds More...Andres Garcia, Carey High School, Valedictorian

Andres moved here when he was nine years old. "I've always loved school. Most kids think that school is like a job, but I've always loved it. I'd rather be at school than anywhere else. School is the foundation of my life. My dad has worked hard to bring our family to the U.S. so that we have a better future. The least I can do in return is get good grades so that I can help my family," said Andres. "I will work this summer and then go to Idaho State University to study pharmacology. I took chemistry this year and realized how much I enjoyed it. For my senior project I disassembled an old push lawn mower and rebuilt it. It was a summer project and I really enjoyed it," he said.
