"When you're dealing with a company, the way the company functions is the way it begins
at the top. And the top guy, the guy that started it is Rick Scher. His son went to the school in which I worked. He was the best father.
I hardly ever met a father that was as caring and as loving as Rick was. And, I knew when he went into this business that it would have to reflect him."

"As a nurse consultant, I sit down and meet with families and try to help them analyze their situation and try to identify their needs. Among this is to identify the needs of the individual and the goal is always to try to keep the individual at home. That is first and primary. And, this is really the wish of most people and most families is try to keep their loved one at home for as long as it is physically and safely possible."

HOSPITAL CARE
Although most of our clients are seniors, Care Connection happily provides companion services to any individual in need of assistance in their home. Regardless of an individual's age if recovering from an illness or injury, or merely physically challenged Care Connection does not discriminate and is there to suit whatever needs they require.
Care Connection companions are encouraged to provide mental stimulation for their clients. Be it a simple conversation, reading, sharing games and activities, an escorted walk or joining in a family social gathering companions maintain a consistent, engaging and tightly knit affiliation where clients can feel genuinly cared for and experience a sense of fulfillment.
Establishing the right match for a client is essential to the success of Care Connection's services so reassigning a new companion caregiver, when necessary, is never and issue.
HOSPITAL CARE
Even though the patient is being treated by medical staff, many older people still need the personal attention of a companion to oversee their day-to-day needs and brighten up a hospital stay.
If a patient's medical condition impedes or prevents them from feeding themselves, or they are unable to contact a doctor or nurse for assistance, a companion is there to insure that they eat properly and add that extra measure of protection.
ASSISTED LIVING FACILITY At times, a resident may benefit from the company of a personal companion, thereby enhancing their experience at the facility. A companion can provide good conversation and company, read, watch T.V. or movies with the resident, retrieve mail, do light shopping or accompany the resident on trips as well as provide advice with getting dressed, and being there to escort the resident to meals or activities. |
