The Power of Simple

The KISS Principle says it all - Keep It Simple Stupid. We used this during my time in the military and try to follow this tried and true methodology now.

One of the great tools available to help make the complex clear are mind maps. The example in the video is a client with a large estate with businesses, real estate and portfolio assets. We have been working on this estate for the better part of this year with other advisors and family members. During past meetings everyone seems to be on a different page. Meetings end in partial understanding and some level of confusion. Last week we presented the estate plan in a very simple mind map format that was understood by all in 15 minutes!
