Are you as tired of all of the election ads and hype as I am? The advertisements are a necessary evil. Unfortunately one of the issues we care most about doesn't usually rank high enough to get paid advertising. This is why we are asking you to share a simple reminder to your members about the importance of selecting a candidate that is as concerned about protecting the waters of the state as you and your organizations are. It is legal for nonprofits to do this type of education. Nonprofits cannot endorse or name candidates in these types of messages.

The IRS is a complicated agency. When river groups take the big step to get their nonprofit status they encounter many new numbers such as 501c3, 1023, 990 and more. This workshop will cover the basic rules and reporting requirements to make sure your group stays in the good graces of the IRS.
The Wisconsin Nonprofits Association and the Helen Bader Institute at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee will host this special IRS workshop on June 26 . Topics covered will be:
