Greetings!
While much of nature goes into hibernation during the winter months, rivers continue their work. A lot is asked of rivers during the cold months - to carry away salt and sand, to offer open water for overwintering waterfowl and to swell with snowmelt on warmer days. Rivers never rest.

We too have our winter's work ahead of us at the River Alliance. With the entry of a new administration in January, events to plan for next spring and summer, and greater attention being paid to urban streams, we, like the rivers, are rushing onward.

Fall 2010 Issue of the FLOW

The most recent issue of The FLOW, River Alliance's printed quarterly newsletter, is now available online.

This edition is a reflection on the impressive year we've had in 2010.  Take a look and you'll see some of our proudest moments and meet some of our dearest friends.  You'll also be introduced to the entire River Alliance team (and get a little insight into their plans for 2011).  Our year in review centerfold timeline highlights the year's most memorable achievements and marks events both good and bad that affected rivers everywhere.

The FLOW is available to everyone online, but River Alliance members receive a beautiful printed copy in the mail.  Join the River Alliance and you too can receive a printed copy of the FLOW while helping to save Wisconsin's rivers.

"Thanks for putting out this pub on real paper in vibrant color.  I receive so much info via electronic media, that to take a few minutes while I was eating lunch to catch up with RAW things with a real crinkly paper is a real treat."

-Tom Nowakowski
