Play Blue, Promoting Learning through Active Youth, incorporates wellness goals and "New Physical Education" curriculum with an emphasis on nutrition and education.

.

The initiative began when Kenston was awarded a $677,000 federal grant in October 2010 for physical education programming for the district's 3,100 students.  At the recent, Play Blue In Motion, the community celebrated fitness and its positive impact on academic performance.

Over the past 25 years, Jerry Traylor has shared his message with over 1 million individuals. His words have impacted audiences throughout the world, ranging from students, Fortune 500 employees to professional athletes.

Jerry credits his parents and other caring adults; especially teachers, with shaping the attitude that has carried him forward.

Some would claim that in his own right, Jerry Traylor is a sports hero. He has climbed 14,110 foot Pikes Peak, has completed 28 marathons, has run 3528 miles across America and has parachuted from 12,500 feet - all on crutches! Jerry was born with cerebral palsy. He has been featured on Larry King, Paul Harvey's "The rest of the story" and has been honored by many U.S. presidents.

The late Dr. Norman Vincent Peale said, "Building a career as a motivational speaker, Jerry Traylor has prepared himself by becoming a motivational doer. That way he is more convincing when he tells people what it takes to achieve difficult goals - for they know he has achieved many."
