New look, New School year...
Beginnings and new possibilities create energy in our community. The excitment starts to build as a new school year starts. This year, the district is launching a new look.

Our brand, an identifying visual element, directly connects with the promise Kenston makes as an educational institution. Achieving academic excellence and maximizing personal growth for each student are the cornerstone's of our District's mission.
- The Stars and Blue are the featured elements representing Achievement, Excellence and Success.
- The five stars in ascending order represent our five buildings and the journey and growth of our students' experiences at Kenston.
- The Bomber plane represents a tradition and history that protects our nation's freedom and defines Kenston.
Our brand promotes unity, pride, recognition and distinctiveness while celebrating who we are. We are Kenston! |

$250,000 Innovation Grant for Science
 |
Innovation Grant presentation |
Kenston received a $250,000 federal Race to the Top Innovation Grant for solar energy and science education.
The new grant will fund the district's plan to install a 20-kilowatt solar photovoltaic array, which is a system of solar panels that convert sunlight to electricity. Smaller arrays will be installed for real time data evaluation, hands-on demonstration and as a clean energy resource for heating water.
Dr Lee said, "This grant enhances the district's efforts to Go Green. It is a great component to our renewable energy plan. Beyond the direct educational benefits of this grant, it will help to offset existing utility costs." |
